Chechouen
Chechouen is a city located in the mountains of Morocco, and the coolest part about it is that practically the entire city is painted white and blue! Blue symbolizes the love of God and white symbolizes peace. The city is GORGEOUS! Walking through the streets is just a surreal experience. That and the fact that it is a much smaller town made us really feel like we were in a different continent. We saw people washing clothes in the rivers, drying them on trees, and leading donkeys and chasing chickens through the narrow streets. Hopefully my pictures can portray at least a little bit of what it felt like to be there... it was definitely an experience I won't be forgetting soon!
The Moroccan countryside. I was surprised it was so green!

A group of women meeting in the middle of nowhere.
The colorful clothes that filled the markets.

Old-fashioned clothes dryer!
And here is the old-fashioned washing machine, courtesy of the river!

Our tour group and guides: Germans, Swiss, Canadians, Spaniards, and Americans!

Two guys from our program in Spain that we randomly ran into in the main part of the town! As I've said before, SMALL WORLD!
